Core Mission and Objectives
Founded in 2018, ASTY 4 aims to unite sports animators across the Yaoundé 4 district to improve the physical and mental health of the community. Its primary goals include:
Health & Wellness: Developing the physical and mental well-being of its members.
Social Support: Providing moral and physical assistance to the sick and suffering.
Community Building: Strengthening "living together" and social cohesion through health clubs.
Professional Development: Training instructors in specialized fields like massotherapy, first aid, and physiotherapy.
Key Achievements and Scale
ASTY 4 has seen significant growth since its inception:
Membership: The organization oversees more than 75 clubs with over 1,500 active members.
Event Organizing: They regularly host major events, including the "Semi Marathon Nkul-Nnam," regional sports marches, and specialized events for International Women’s Day (March 8).
Social Action: Beyond sports, the group conducts hospital visits and supports members in need, embodying their commitment to social solidarity.
Leadership and Infrastructure
The organization is led by M. Bernard Bindzi (President) and a team of highly qualified Level II and III coaches. ASTY 4 works in partnership with the Cameroon Sport For All Federation (FECASPT) to ensure their activities align with national sports education standards.
