Health Village
ODV NUOVAVITA is proud to introduce "Health Village," a transformative pilot project based in Douala, Cameroon. This center is dedicated to the social and professional reintegration of young African immigrants and local youth, providing them with a dignified alternative to the perils of illegal migration.
The primary objective is to accommodate and train approximately seven hundred (700) young people per year. Aware that training is only one step in the integration of young people into the professional world, we also plan post-training follow-up.
Our plan is to find partners in the different areas of our training who can facilitate the immediate professional integration of young learners and therefore work in close collaboration with the FNE, MINJEC, and MINEFOP to allow young learners in training in our center to benefit from the services offered by specialized structures to optimize their employability.
Our secondary objective is to acquire hectares of land for the construction of social housing and infrastructure and the training center for professional trades generating self-employment and income for all vulnerable people identified who will be trained within our center. Spaces are also planned for an agropastoral and fish-farming operation in order to have long-term self-financing of the center.
The Challenge: Why We Act
Safety is a fundamental right, yet many are forced into dangerous journeys toward Europe due to a lack of local opportunities.
Economic Despair: 87% of migrants move for economic reasons, with 64% of those surveyed being unemployed.
Lost Potential: Talented graduates and "geniuses" often find their skills underutilized at home due to a lack of support.
Vulnerability: Young people aged 20–30 are the most affected, often facing precariousness both at home and abroad.
The Solution: Our Integrated Approach
We are constructing a 30-hectare facility designed to accommodate and train approximately 700 to 1,000 young people annually.

A Comprehensive Ecosystem
Professional Training: Hands-on workshops in plumbing, welding, electricity, mechanics, carpentry, and beauty.
Agro-Pastoral Farm: A 20-hectare integrated farm for agriculture, fish farming, and poultry.
Holistic Infrastructure: The site includes a health center, library, dormitories, administrative blocks, and solar power.
Social Reintegration: Specialized support for former prisoners to help them resocialize through trade skills.

Join us in this magnificent social adventure. Together with the State of Cameroon and our international partners, we are turning the tide on unemployment and offering a glimmer of hope to the next generation
